Meet Our Founder
Vernon Kearney is a former NFL defensive back and NCAA Division II All-American (2012) whose career reflects elite performance, discipline, and long-term commitment to excellence. He spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, and Buffalo Bills, gaining first-hand experience in what it takes to prepare, compete, and perform at the highest professional level.
Throughout his collegiate and professional career, Vernon developed a deep understanding of speed development, positional mechanics, film study, recovery, and mental preparation—skills essential for success at combines, pro days, and elite competition. His journey was built on more than athletic ability; it required resilience, accountability, and the guidance of strong mentors—principles that continue to shape his work today.
After his playing career, Vernon recognized that his greatest impact would come not only from what he achieved on the field, but from how he could transfer those lessons to the next generation of athletes. As the founder of Peak Performance Athletics & Leadership Outreach Academy, he has built a comprehensive development program that integrates high-performance training, position-specific skill work, leadership development, mentorship, and academic accountability.
Drawing from his professional, collegiate, and educational background, Vernon works with youth, collegiate, and professional athletes to maximize speed, explosiveness, durability, and football intelligence. His training philosophy emphasizes technical mastery, measurable progress, and consistent habits that translate directly to game performance and evaluation settings.
For parents and families, Peak Performance is more than a training program—it is a structured community committed to developing character, discipline, and academic success. For serious athletes and professionals, it is a performance-driven environment designed to prepare individuals for combines, pro days, roster competition, and long-term career sustainability.
Vernon’s mission is clear: to develop complete athletes and leaders who are prepared to excel on the field, in the classroom, and in life—long after the final whistle.
